Description
TRADITIONAL: Auld Lang Syne
Arranged for bassoon quartet by Michael A. Grant
‘Auld Lang Syne’ is a Scottish poem written by Robert Burns in 1788, and the tune it is set to is in fact a traditional folk song. It is traditionally sung on New Year’s Eve to bid farewell to the old year, but also often appears at other occasions to signify endings and new beginnings.
This arrangement can be performed as a bassoon quartet or (by eliminating the optional 4th part) as a trio.
